10 to 20 percent reduction in fish prices

Deep sea fish arrivals have increased. Margashirsha month starts from Monday. Many people do not eat meat during the peak months. This has resulted in a 10 to 20 per cent reduction in deep fish prices. Chicken and mutton prices are stable. Traders Rupesh Pardeshi and Prabhakar Kamble said that the price of English and Gavaran eggs has gone up by Rs 30 to Rs 40 per kg due to increased demand.

About 15 to 16 tonnes of deep sea fish, about 200 to 400 kg of creek fish and 2 to 3 tonnes of river fish arrived at Ganesh Peth fish market on Sunday (13th). So, from Andhra Pradesh, about 15 to 20 tonnes of Rahu, Katla and Ceylon have arrived, said trader Thakur Pardeshi.
