Is widening a six-meter-wide road really necessary?

Following the decision to widen the six-meter-wide road to nine-meter-wide, the administration has initiated proceedings against the residents. Citizens of Sambhajinagar, Sahakarnagar and Parvati areas have expressed strong opposition to this. To draw attention to this, the office bearers of NCP submitted a statement to the municipal administration. When we don't need it, why widen? This question has been asked by these residents. Corporator Ashwini Kadam from Sahakarnagar area has submitted the objections of about five hundred residents to the municipal administration. A statement was given to Municipal Engineer Prashant Waghmare in the presence of Deepali Dhumal, Leader of Opposition in the Municipal Corporation. Earlier, NCP office bearers entered the building from the statue of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule in the premises of the Municipal Corporation. Security guards tried to stop them. However, corporator Ashwini Kadam reached Waghmare's office, warning the security guards to release them. Waghmare assured the audience that a fair decision would be taken after hearing the matter.
