Fire at Balewadi waste segregation center

The fire broke out at a waste segregation center on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway at Balewadi around 10.30 pm. Since the shed is under construction at this place, all the waste pickers sit outside the shed and separate the waste. As a result, all waste is outside the shed. The high voltage power line has gone from this place. The fire was reported to have started due to trees touching the power lines and wind. The fire was brought under control by Jalindar Munjal, Ankush Palve, Balasaheb Karande, Rohit Pushparaj and driver Raju Sheikh of the fire department.
